Formation, scope, and structure was approved May 2021:
The Technology Subcommittee shall advise as needed on all matters related to AATCC’s purchase and use of technology, including but not limited to servers, digital platforms, electronic hardware, and software. Issues for review may be presented by AATCC staff, another committee, or proactively identified by the Technology Subcommittee. The subcommittee may conduct research or seek professional input to provide recommendations. Members may also test new technology before, during, or after implementation by AATCC.
The Technology Subcommittee chair shall consist of five individual members of AATCC, appointed by the AATCC Board of Directors to serve five-year terms (except in the first five years of the subcommittee’s existence). Terms shall be staggered such that one member’s term expires each year. Members shall serve no more than two consecutive terms on the Technology Subcommittee.
Each member of the subcommittee shall serve as chair in the final year of his or her term. The Education Director of AATCC shall serve as secretary of the subcommittee and shall not have a vote. AATCC President, President-Elect, Executive Vice President, and Treasurer shall be non-voting ex-officio members of the subcommittee.
The subcommittee may invite additional subject matter experts to attend meetings and advise on specific issues. Such experts need not be members of AATCC and shall not be voting members of the committee.
The Technology Subcommittee shall provide a report at each regular meeting of the AATCC Board of Directors. The chair may attend the meeting as an invited guest or submit a written report to be included in the minutes.
