This preparation webinar presented by Edwin T. Turner, Cotton Incorporated, will cover yarn and fabric lubricants/finishes and/or sizes that must be removed before subsequent processing, analysis to aid identification of materials to be removed, types of preparation, preparation chemicals and some of the machinery utilized for preparing yarn and fabric. Emphasis will be on the major fibers used in textiles, such as cotton, polyester, and their blends, but the presentation will also cover other fibers including elastane blends.
